Rare Vintage 1989 Steiff Crystal Wizard The Wishing Bear. Exclusive Meyer’s Limited Edition Diamond Jubilee Issue of 1,000. Per tag # 00840. Designed by fantasy artist Tim Hildebrandt. Jet black, mohair, jointed, approx. 6″ high (8″ including hat), with unique silver/gray snout. Dressed in magnificent royal blue and scarlet satin Wizard’s cape covered with silver stars and moons, with a darling hat which points to the Heavens. Wears his special Wishing Crystal’. A pure Brazilian crystal on a sterling silver chain. Holds a twinkling “Wishing Star” wand with lots of sparkle. Complete with special Steiff white limited edition numbered ear tag and button-in-ear, and special Steiff hang tag. Includes original Steiff gift box and signed literature pictured. (has been stored folded). This Crystal Wizard Steiff has been carefully packed away for many, many years. This little bear is in like new condition. Only issue elastic has relaxed on wizard hat and the tag on the cape has been removed. This beautiful one-of-a-kind keepsake comes from the estate of a private collector was displayed behind glass and has been carefully packed away for many years in a controlled environment.
